The aTMO 493/22.1 (10MVA, 21970/6300 V) transformer was manufactured for the České Budějovice Heating Plant. The company is engaged in the production, sale and distribution of heat and condensate. Heat is produced here by burning coal and natural gas. Electricity is produced using a condensing turbine, which is then taken by distribution companies.
The transformer meets strict European ECO2 standards. It is unique in that, thanks to the automatic tap changer from Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH, it is able to regulate the voltage drop or rise to the required value in operation under load. It is the first transformer in such a specific design (10MVA switchable under load meeting the ECO2 standard) which the company BEZ Transformátory, a.s. made.
