An indispensable part of Wikov in the production of gearboxes are its own experimental and test workplaces. These days, another part has been officially added, namely a test hall for stress tests of large gearboxes.
The hall with an area of 640 m2 is equipped with a two-girder bridge crane with a load capacity of 80 tons. This creates a comfortable space that greatly simplifies the logistics flow between assembly and dispatch of large gearboxes. After testing in the hall, the gearboxes can be packed directly into special packaging and loaded onto trailers for excessive transport.
For such a installation new distribution transformer had to be installed to provide enough power to energize the whole testing laboratory. In the same time, new transformer for the workshop had to be installed to split both workspaces and make them independent on each other. BEZ Transformers were the right choice.
